Does your mind need a break, and your head too? Tension in the neck and nape, styling products, sun, sea salt and a busy routine all show in your hair: more oil, itching, a tight scalp and hair that looks flat. The head spa was born in Japan to fix exactly that: treat the skin of your head the way we treat the skin of the face, and give you a moment of real calm along the way.
At BLUSH Estética, a beauty salon in Málaga on Calle Constancia, our Head Spa Málaga ritual combines massage techniques, specific scalp products and a sensory atmosphere, so you leave with light, clean hair and a quiet head. In Spain this treatment is often called “spa capilar” or “spa capilar japonés”, so you may see that name on our Spanish pages.

What is a head spa?
It is a beauty and wellbeing treatment inspired by Japanese scalp care, where the star is not the length of your hair but the scalp itself. We look at it, cleanse it deeply, exfoliate it, massage it and nourish it, because a balanced scalp is the base of healthy-looking hair.
It is also a sensory experience: low light, soothing scents, the sound and warmth of running water and a slow head massage that melts tension away. Some people come for scalp care and hair health; others come mainly for deep relaxation. Most leave with both.
Our ritual, step by step
- Scalp check. We look for excess oil, dryness, flaking or sensitivity to choose the right products for you.
- Japanese-style head massage. Slow pressure on the neck, nape and head to release built-up tension.
- Scalp exfoliation. We remove build-up from dry shampoo, hairspray, sun cream and dead skin cells that can clog the hair follicles.
- Water cascade. Lying on the couch, warm water flows over your head while the massage continues. The favourite moment for almost everyone.
- Steam and mask. Steam helps a nourishing mask work while you enjoy the aromatherapy.
- Finish. A final rinse and conditioner for soft, light hair.
The full ritual lasts between 45 and 60 minutes, depending on the protocol you need.
Benefits of a scalp spa: a deep cleanse, a head massage and real rest
- Calm and rest: the massage helps reduce stress and tension in the neck and head.
- A deep scalp cleanse: removes product build-up and excess oil.
- Better circulation: the massage stimulates blood flow in the scalp, which supports healthy-looking hair growth.
- A more balanced scalp: helps with a scalp prone to dandruff or oiliness and soothes itching.
- Lighter, softer, shinier hair from the first session.
- Self-care and a feeling of wellbeing that lasts all day.

Who is it for?
- You live with stress, sleep badly or carry tension in your head and neck.
- Your hair gets oily fast, or you have dandruff, itching or a reactive scalp.
- You often use hairspray, mousse, dry shampoo or colour and want a proper deep clean.
- Your scalp has had a lot of sun, salt water or pool chlorine during a summer on the Costa del Sol.
- You are looking for a different gift: it is loved by women and men alike.
Head spa price
The price depends on the length of the ritual and the products your scalp needs. Ask us for the price on WhatsApp (+34 684 195 381) and we will send you the options and our next available times.
Before and after your session
- No need to wash your hair first: we cleanse it deeply during the session. Just avoid oils and styling products that day.
- Beach and pool: wear a hat in strong sun for the rest of the day and rinse your hair with fresh water after the sea or pool.
- Short stay? One session is enough to enjoy it; there is no course of treatment needed.

Combine it with other treatments
If you love the feeling, try one of our massages, such as the neck, shoulder and head massage or the 60-minute relaxing massage, or add one of our facials to care for you from head to toe. For heavy legs after a flight, the lymphatic drainage massage is just as gentle.
